MANILA — Intensified manhunt operations conducted by intelligence operatives of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) has resulted in the arrest of Bohol’s most wanted person in the person of Alejandro Lacar, 56, a pedicab driver and resident of No. 26 Huna Street, Sitio San Roque 2 in Barangay Bagong Pag-asa.
Lacar has been charged with a statutory rape case in Candijay town in Bohol.
In his report to QCPD director Brigadier General Antonio Yarra, Masambong Police Station (PS 2) commander Lieutenant Colonel Ritchie Claravall said that Lacar was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest docketed under Criminal Case Number 2338-2339 issued by Carmen, Bohol Regional Trial Court Branch 51 presiding judge Patsita Sarmiento-Gamutan.
The accused was caught while inside his residence at around 9:20 in the morning of May 1, 2021 by combined intelligence operatives of PS 2 and the Bohol Police Provincial Office in Candijay commanded by Major Jaime Dulcero, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group’s (CIDG) District Special Operations Unit (DSOU) under Senior Master Sergeant Richard Ilira and Project 6 Police Station (PS 15) led by Lt.
