Alessandra de Rossi slams critics who deride unmarried, childless women

MANILA—-Alessandra de Rossi slammed critics who look down upon women who have not married yet or those who do not have a child yet.

On her Twitter account, the actress stressed that women have different paths they want to take in their lives.

“BV na minsan when people make you feel you’re less of a woman, because you’re not married or you don’t have kids (yet) or a ring on your finger. Para bang.. Pwede bang ito yung path namin?!”  De Rossi said.

She said she doesn’t know how to answer this seemingly- like a beauty pageant question regarding the importance of a woman. She even joked she also doesn’t know the importance of men.

“Sige, what is the essence of a woman? Malay ko! I don’t even know the essence of a man! CHOT,” the actress said.

Alessandra categorically stated that she doesn’t have any problem with women who are happily married and with children but there are things which also give her happiness.

The actress explained, there are different things that can make a person happy.

“If motherhood or getting married is the best thing that ever happened to you, I’m happy for you. I’m sure it is the happiest place to be. Pero okay naman ako sa Jollibee,” the actress stated.

“Kanya-kanyang trip lang ‘yan. Naiiyak nga ako sa magandang sunset and it’s also the best thing for me.”

Alessandra also emphasized that she accepts whatever God is giving her especially now that the most important thing in her life is the safety of her family and not having a man.

“Stop feeling like you’ve made it because you’re there na and I’m not…. And I seriously do not care. Whatever God gives me, I take it, because I never asked for anything but my family’s safety. I never prayed for a man or a career.”

Is that clear? (ECD/MTVN)
