MANILA — Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director Brigadier General Antonio Yarra lauded two of his men who successfully arrested five drug suspects and seized more than P200,000 worth of shabu.
They were arrested in two separate buy-bust operations in barangays Pasong Putik and Balon Bato, in Quezon Cty.
In the first buy-bust operation, operatives of the QCPD’s Talipapa Police Station (PS 3) under Lt. Col. Cristine Tabdi nabbed John Paul Martinez, 25, of No. 7, Leland Drive, Bgy. Balon Bato, and Frederick Tinio, 42, of No. 439 Interior 33, Bgy. Bagbag, Novaliches at about 9:50 on May 10, 2021 at the residence of Martinez where the drug transaction was consummated.
Confiscated from the two suspects were five sachets of shabu weighing some 15 grams and valued at P102,000, the buy-bust money and the cellular phone used in the drug transaction.
Meanwhile, in the second anti-drug operation operatives of Pasong Putik Proper Police Station under its commander Lieutenant Colonel Eleazar Barber Jr., police arrested two druggies from Caloocan City and their cohort who is a resident of Novaliches.
Barber identified the suspects as Joseph Dela Cruz, alias ‘Jan Jan’, 22, of Block 31 Lot 2, Kassel Villas, Zabarte Road, Camarin, Caloocan City; Jenesis Allan Delos Santos, 21, of Kenkada Street, Bgy. 188, Tala, also in Caloocan City; and Jhun Maxwell Santos, 30, of No. 1 Arellano St. corner Magsaysay St., Doña Faustina, Bgy. San Bartolome, Novaliches.
The suspects were arrested at around 10:20 in the evening of May 10, 2021, after an undercover cop transacted from them P300 worth of shabu.
Aside from the buy-bust money, seized from the suspects were 16 sachets of shabu weighing about 15 grams and valued at P102,000 as well as two sachets of marijuana weighing two grams and worth P240, the drug money, a cellular phone and a color white Honda Beat V2 with MV file number 1303-0916574.
