BACOLOD CITY – Three suspects from this city yielded some PHP533,800 worth of suspected shabu in separate buy-busts conducted by joint drug enforcement teams in the past two days, reports on Friday showed.
At 11:45 p.m. on Thursday, operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit of Bacolod City Police Office (CDEU-BCPO) apprehended Dennis Salazar, 31, in Purok Langka 1, Barangay 3.
Salazar, listed as a street-level individual (SLI), sold shabu worth PHP500 to a poseur-buyer, the report said.
The suspect also yielded seven plastic sachets containing 15 grams of the prohibited substance estimated worth PHP102,000.
Salazar has been placed in the custody of Police Station 2.
On the same day at 10:45 a.m., Joel Juele, also an SLI, was arrested by personnel of Police Station 6 at Cherry’s Inn on Lopez Jaena Street in Barangay 31.
While staying in Room 12, the 31-year-old suspect sold a sachet of shabu worth PHP500 to an undercover policeman.
Operatives also seized from his possession 11 small plastic sachets of the prohibited substance weighing 3.5 grams with an estimated value of PHP23,800.
Meanwhile, Ramel Delgado, a resident here, was arrested by joint anti-drug operatives on Wednesday morning at the Old Tagbak Terminal in Jaro, Iloilo City.
According to a report of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Western Visayas (PDEA-6), Delgado, considered a high-value target, yielded about 60 grams of shabu valued at PHP408,000. (PNA)
