MANILA — The Philippine National Police Logistical Support Service (PNP-LSS) celebrates its 63rd Founding Anniversary on Tuesday, 18 May 2021. It was held at the Multi-Purpose Center, Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City.
The simple ceremony was graced by PNP chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar as Guest of Honor and Speaker along with his command group in PLTGen Jose M Vera Cruz, TDCA, and PLTGen Dionardo Carlos, TCDS.
LSS come up with this year’s theme, “Logistic Support Service…Maasahang Tagatustos ng Pambansang Pulisya ng Pilipinas Laban sa Hamon ng Krimen at Pandemya”.
Highlighting the celebration was the conferment of awards to its uniformed and non-uniformed personnel, civilians, non-government organization, members of the advisory council, and spiritual advisers for their valuable services and indispensable efforts in the realization of its functions.
In his keynote address, Eleazar cited the notable role of the LSS in providing logistical support and services to all units and offices of the PNP.
He echoed the specific instructions of President Rodrigo R Duterte given on Monday night In Malacañang.
“I would like to encourage everyone to heed the orders of the Chief Executive to “just do your job”. Do what is right and legal, it’s as simple as that. Mayroon na tayong programa, ang kailangan natin dito ay involvement ng ating mga kababayan. We have the trust and confidence of the public that we can better serve, we can better perform our job. At the end of the day, my goal and my mission ay makapagdagdag ng maitutulong sa ating organisasyon to continue winning the hearts and minds of the Filipino people.” Eleazar said.
Established in 1958, the Logistic Support Service now headed by its Director, PBGen Mario A Reyes, showcases its efforts in professionalizing and enhancing logistical service and support mechanism to all PNP units and office toward professionalized and well-maintained public service. (AI/MTVN)
