DATU ODIN SINSUAT, Maguindanao – A village councilman and five others were arrested during an anti-drug operation here Thursday morning.

A clandestine drug den was also dismantled, said Juvenal Azurin, director of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-BARMM).

“Ronnie Mama is a member of the Barangay Semba council,”: Azurin said.

During the 9 a.m. buy-bust, he said a PDEA undercover agent managed to secure 10 grams of suspected shabu, estimated to cost PHP80,000 from one of the suspects in Sitio Laguialam of Barangay Semba.

He added that a .45-caliber pistol with ammunition was also seized from one of the suspects. The operation was carried out with the participation of the Datu Odin Sinsuat police force.
