BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The Provincial Health Office (PHO) reported on Tuesday that this province recorded 90 new recoveries from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), which brought the total number of those who have beaten the dreaded disease to 7,488.
The PHO also said that the total number of those who have tested positive for Covid-19 rose to 9,157 of which 1,369 are active cases, after the addition of 47 new infections.
Also, a 58-year-old woman from Orani town became the 300th casualty in the province.
The new recoveries are from Dinalupihan with 28; Balanga City, 21; Hermosa, 11; Abucay, 10; Limay, six; Orion, five; Pilar, three; Samal and Orani, two each; Bagac and Mariveles, one each.
On the other hand, the new confirmed cases are 21 in Balanga City; five each in Dinalupihan and Limay; Pilar and Morong with four each; Samal and Mariveles, three each; and Orani and Orion, one each.
Meanwhile, 2,000 doses of CoronaVac arrived in Bataan on Tuesday for the Provincial Health Office and another 2,000 for the Balanga City Health Office. With this, vaccination resumed for the second dose for priority groups A1 (medical and non-medical front-liners) and A2 (senior citizens) and first dose for A3 (persons with comorbidity).
On Monday, the Bataan People’s Center in this city was temporarily closed after Governor Albert Garcia suspended the first dose of inoculation due to lack of available vaccines.
Aside from the center, there are 13 other inoculation sites in the province. (PNA)
