MANILA—For those who have experienced heartbreak, actress Andrea Torres gives pieces of advice and shares her secret on how to move on.
In a report from Kapuso ArtisTambayan, a netizen who broke up from her boyfriend of five years asked for advice because she is struggling and finds it hard for her to forget their memories.
Andrea was quick to give her tips: “Ang importante talaga diyan, kailangan mo siyempre i-embrace ‘yung process.
Andrea added, “Kailangan mong tulungan ‘yung sarili mo. Kailangan mas mag-focus ka doon sa positive. Huwag kang mag-focus sa, ‘Ay hindi nag-work.
“Mas isipin mo na ‘Ah, kaya ito nangyari kasi mayroon itong magagawa for me, it’s for my growth. May mas malaking plano pa diyan, may mangyayari pang maganda sa akin. Gano’n dapat ang mindset mo,” Andrea further said.
It should be remembered that Andrea came from a breakup, too, when she and Derek Ramsay decided to end their relationship last year.
For Dennis Trillo, who is Andrea’s leading man in a teleserye, he said that a person needs to create new memories.
And for Bianca Umali, a co-actor, she said that a person should not allow himself/herself to dwell on the situation.
“A reminder is that, it’s okay not to be okay. Tama na we should respect the process and do not stay there. Love yourself, move on and be happy because life goes on,” Bianca declared.
It is important for Alice Dixson who also plays wife to Dennis in the teleserye “Legal Wives” that a person should give time to himself/herself.
“Sabi kasi ng friend ko, it takes one to forget one. But the thing is, when you do that, hindi mo binibigyan ang puso mo ng time to heal and also to recover and become whole again.
“Usually kasi sobra na ‘yung binibigay mo doon sa loved one mo and siyempre if he does not reciprocate, you feel empty inside,” Alice said.
“I think the best thing is to find other things na puwede mong pagkaabalahan. Educate yourself, hangout with your friends, do things that you enjoy to make yourself happy. And then when you least expect it, darating ‘yung prince charming mo,” she added. ( ECD/MTVN)
