June 10 declared ‘Danding Cojuangco Day’ in Tarlac

TARLAC City – On May 12, 2021, during the 17th Regular Session, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Tarlac, led by Vice Governor and Presiding Officer Atty. Carlito “Casada” S. David and the Board Members, enacted Provincial Ordinance No. 004-2021, declaring the 10th day of June each year as a special day in the province of Tarlac and to be known as “DANDING COJUANGCO DAY” in commemoration of the birth of the ambassador and to pay tribute to his life and legacy as a man who never ceased to share his countless blessings with the people of Tarlac.

By the virtue of Provincial Ordinance No. 004-2021, the Provincial Government of Tarlac, City Government of Tarlac and all municipal governments, state universities and colleges, public elementary and secondary schools in the province shall commemorate this day with appropriate, relevant and worthwhile programs and activities that will inspire Tarlaqueños, especially the youth, to emulate the good deeds and achievements of Ambassador Eduardo M. Cojuangco Jr.

His memories and legacy will forever be an inspiration and he will always be remembered with the highest esteem and gratitude for all his remarkable deeds especially to the Province of Tarlac.

Eduardo Murphy Cojuangco Jr. was born in June 10, 1935, the first-born child of Eduardo Chichioco Cojuangco and Josephine B. Murphy and a native of Paniqui, Tarlac. He was a former ambassador and also serve as governor of Tarlac. (AI/MTVN)
