MANILA – Most parts of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, the weather bureau said Thursday.
Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) weather specialist Benison Estareja said this condition is caused by the southwest monsoon affecting northern Luzon and also due to localized thunderstorms.
“Most parts of Luzon will have fair weather, and warm temperature at noon,” he said.
The Visayas will also experience generally fair weather. Isolated rain showers, however, may be experienced in the afternoon or at night, according to Estareja.
“Mindanao may expect rains, but these are only due to the localized thunderstorms,” he added.
Meanwhile, no gale warning is currently in effect.
Extreme northern Luzon, however, will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
