MANILA – The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Mindanao will cause rains over Palawan and parts of the Visayas, a weather forecaster said Monday.
Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail over Western Visayas, Central Visayas, and Palawan.
“Fair weather will be experienced over the rest of Luzon. Isolated rain showers are expected due to localized thunderstorms,” said Meno Mendoza of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
The rest of the Visayas, he said, will also have fair weather. Isolated thunderstorms are likely, Mendoza added.
The whole Mindanao, on the other hand, will have fair weather with isolated thunderstorms.
Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas are forecast over the entire archipelago.
Meanwhile, Mendoza said PAGASA does not see a weather disturbance that may affect the country in the next two to three days.
No weather disturbance is currently being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, he added. (PNA)
