MANILA — The City of Manila in cooperation with PHLPost and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas officially unveiled the Commemorative Stamps and Medal last June 24, 2021 in line with the 450th Founding Anniversary of the City of Manila.
With the theme of “History and Honor” (Kasaysayan at Kadakilaan), the design behind the SE-TENANT stamps and Medal are inspired by the rich history and culture of the City of Manila as it showcases 2 of the most iconic landmarks of the nation’s capital.
The stamps and medal highlight the revamped Jones Bridge and the Iconic Manila City Hall Clock Tower, bringing the historic structures back to their former glory under the leadership of Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso. The commemorative stamps and medals represent the importance of our city’s past that every Manileño should not forget as we move towards #BagongMaynila.
The said memorabilia were designed by Enrico Peña Jr., from the Department of Tourism, Culture and Arts of Manila while the photo of the Iconic Manila City Hall Clocktower was taken by James Ambag, a student from the University of the East. (Kiara Lauren Ibanez/BENJAMIN CUARESMA/AI/MTVN)
