WESCOM changes leadership

PUERTO Princesa City Palawan — Col. Romeo T. Racadiom (M), PN, has on July 5, 2021, relinquished and turned over the duties and responsibilities as Acting Chief of Unified Command Staff, Western Command (WESCOM), to Col. Louie Ds Villanueva, GSC (INF) PA during a Change of Office Ceremony presided by Vice Admiral Ramil Roberto B. Enriquez (PN) Commander, WESCOM at the Headquarters Western Command in Puerto here.

The Wescom in Palawan is seeking more military assets to boost its maritime patrol and surveillance in the West Philippine Sea to defend the country from foreign invasion and intrusion.

The Western Command, known officially as the WESCOM, is a formation of the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ combating Terrorism and Insurgency in the islands of Palawan and Kalayaan, including the disputed Spratly Islands group. (ai/mtvn)
