MANILA – Most parts of the Visayas, Mindanao and Palawan will experience rains due to the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) affecting these areas, a weather forecaster said Thursday.
“There will be times when the Visayas and Mindanao will also experience sunny weather. But in the afternoon, expect heavy rains and severe thunderstorms,” Benison Estareja of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
He added that floods and landslides are also possible in those areas.
The rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy skies, warm and humid weather at noon.
PAGASA also forecast the rest of Luzon to experience isolated rains caused by localized thunderstorms.
Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will continue to prevail over the entire archipelago.
Meanwhile, Estareja said PAGASA is not expecting any weather disturbance in the country for the next three days. (PNA)
