Martin del Rosario happy for ABS-CBN stars transferring to GMA-7: ‘Kailangan din nila ng work’

MANILA—Martin del Rosario is happy for those former Kapamilya actors like him who have become Kapuso.

“Honestly, happy ako for them. And welcome na welcome sila dito sa GMA,” the 28-year-old actor said in an email interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal.

He said that there’s nothing wrong with grabbing a good opportunity especially during this time of pandemic.

“Siyempre, kailangan din nila ng work. So kung lumipat man sila sa GMA, natural lang yun para may trabaho. Excited din ako makatrabaho sila in my future projects,” Martin said.

The latest Kapamilya to transfer to  GMA was Bea Alonzo. Asked if he had worked with Bea before, Martin said, “Actually, hindi pa. Pero nagkikita and nagkakasalubong naman kami dati.

“Based on what I hear, napakabait daw niya. Very humble and down-to-earth. And she’s a very good actress. I am hoping na makatrabaho ko siya soon as a new Kapuso!”

Martin just finished working with two StarStruck alumna Katrina Halili and Kris Bernal in an episode of Magpakailanman.

How would he handle two women of his life live under one roof in real life?

Should he fall for two women, what will be his basis of choice between the two?

Meanwhile, Martin confessed that he has learned many things from this pandemic.

“Natutunan ko ang value of having my family around.

Given a chance to go out after this pandemic, Martin said he wants to go to Europe.

“But since may pandemic, kailangan munang i-postpone, and busy rin ako sa lock-in tapings ng teleseryeng ginagawa ko ngayon.”

Martin is currently on lock-in taping for Voltes V: Legacy of GMA-7. (ECD/MTVN)
