A Pacquiao victory! US court KOs Paradigm’s nuisance injunction; Pacquiao vs Spence to proceed on Aug 21

Audie Attar’s Paradigm Management’s attempt to stop Pacquiao vs Spence has been denied.

The official ruling was handed down Friday, August 6, in Superior Court of California in Orange County, denying Paradigm Sports Management’s effort to obtain a preliminary injunction against Pacquiao that would have stopped the Aug. 21 welterweight championship fight in Las Vegas.

On ESPN’s article entitled “Court denies injunction to keep Manny Pacquiao from fighting Errol Spence” they mentioned their record search showed Judge Walter Schwarm made the ruling on the basis that the “evidence demonstrates a low probability of prevailing” in regard to two of the accusations: breach of contract and breach of implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing.

Pacquiao’s lawyer Dale Kinsella issued the following statement:

“As Senator Pacquiao correctly said after this lawsuit was filed in June, he has an absolute right to participate in the August 21 bout with Errol Spence.  Today the Court agreed and resoundingly rejected Paradigm’s injunction publicity stunt in a strong and detailed decision.  Senator Pacquiao looks forward to his bout with Mr. Spence on August 21.”

It can be recalled during a press conference last February 2020 on the signing of Sen. Manny Pacquiao with Paradigm Sports attended by business manager Arnold Vegafria, boxer’s associate Jayke Joson, lawyers Brando Viernesto and Bong Gacal that they announced “Pacquiao is free to sign a non-exclusive contract with Paradigm despite an existing contract with Al Haymon’s Premier Boxing Champions (PBC).

From the beginning with Paradigm Sports, Audie Attar had a non-exclusive contract and was aware of existing contractual obligations with PBC.

Despite close to two years with Paradigm no boxing match materialized out of his relationship with Paradigm which likewise caused Sen. Manny Pacquiao to be stripped of his World Boxing Association (WBA) Welterweight belt and be declared as “champion in recess.”

Nothing will stop the much awaited Pacquiao vs Spence on August 21 at Las Vegas, Nevada.
