The 17th wave of food pack distribution in the city of San Juan was kicked off today, Thursday (September 02, 2021) wherein at least 45,000 families affected by the pandemic benefitted especially those undergoing community quarantine.
On schedule, the first to receive were the residents of Brgy. Heart of Jesus.
According to San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora, they target to distribute at least 45,000 food packs donated by various organizations, companies, businessmen, and private individuals in the city.
The food packs contain rice, canned goods, milk, and other grocery items. Mode of distribution was house-to-house where residents bring out chairs outside their house where the food packs will be placed.
In this way, he said, the health protocol will be followed and crowds will be avoided Zamora said.
