MANILA — The residence of an 87-year-old man, which is already in ruins, underwent a major flip through the help and initiative of police officers in Eastern Samar.
Personnel from the 1st Eastern Samar Provincial Mobile Force Company renovated the house of Lolo Diego Cecista Baculungan, who, despite his old age, lives by himself.
He was the second beneficiary of the PANDAYanihan project of the cops in the area, which aims to help an indigent senior citizen or a family whose house is already destroyed or in need of repair.
The police officers were the ones who shouldered the expenses in repairing Lolo Diego’s residence.
Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police General Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar praised this initiative as it will surely help a lot of families in the province.
