Bulacan town mayor contracts Covid-19 anew

CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan – Mayor Carla Galvez-Tan of San Ildefonso, Bulacan has tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) for the third time.

In her social media post on Friday, Tan confirmed that she contracted again the disease, together with some members of her family.

Following the results of the reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test, the mayor said that her parents, Edgardo and Leonila Galvez, husband Jeffrey Tan, and her two sons, Andrew and Alfonso Benedict, were also confirmed positive for Covid-19.

The mayor first contracted the disease in March this year and again in June.

Galvez-Tan has been fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

Other Bulacan town mayors that have contracted Covid-19 were Ferdie Estrella of Baliwag, Vergel Meneses of Bulakan, Eladio Gonzales Jr. of Balagtas, Jose Santiago of Bocaue, Russel Pleyto of Sta. Maria, and Cipriano Violago of San Rafael. (PNA)
