Former PNP chief Debold Sinas
MANILA — Controversial former Philippine National Police chief Debold Sinas has been appointed as undersecretary of the Office of the President.
Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea confirmed his appointment through a message to reporters covering Malacanang beat on Saturday.
Sinas, who came under fire for his controversial “mananita” birthday party inside camp Crame on May 8, 2020 at a time when the National Capital Region was under ECQ, served as PNP’s 25th top cop until his retirement in May this year.
The former NCRPO chief and Central Visayas’ regional police office director, later apologized for his misdeed. (ai/mtvn)
