MANILA – Philippine National Police chief, Gen. Guillermo Eleazar on Saturday ordered a thorough investigation into the killing of two police anti-narcotics operatives in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.
Initial reports showed that Staff Sgt. Allan Capinpin, 43; and, Staff Sgt. Aries Dichoso, 39, both assigned to the Cabanatuan City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit, were repeatedly shot by two motorcycle-riding men at Capinpin’s residence in Barangay Magsaysay Norte Friday night.
“I already ordered the RD, PRO3 (Regional Director, Police Regional Office 3) to conduct a thorough investigation of this incident which resulted in the death of our two personnel. Part of the investigation is to determine the motive and the immediate identification of all people behind this,” Eleazar said in a statement.
“Makakaasa ang kanilang mga mahal sa buhay ng aming aksyon para mabigyan sila ng hustisya (We assure their families our action to bring them justice),” he added.
The two perpetrators fled after the incident. (PNA)
