CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Some PHP3.5 million worth of shabu was seized from two drug suspects who were arrested in an anti-illegal drugs operation in Minalin town, this province on Sunday.

In a statement on Monday, Col. Arnold Thomas Ibay, director of the Pampanga Police Provincial Office, identified the arrested suspects as Jinky de Dios, 37, who is tagged as a high value individual, and Julie Ann Besa, 42, both residents of Barangay Sta. Trinidad, Angeles City.

Ibay said the two suspects were nabbed along MacArthur Highway in Barangay Sto. Domingo during the buy-bust operation launched by joint operatives of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) and Minalin Station Drug Enforcement Unit.

He said seized from the duo were 13 pieces of heat-sealed plastic sachets containing 515 grams of shabu with an estimated market value of PHP3,502,000., buy-bust money, and other pieces of evidence.

Charges for violation of Sections 5 and Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) will be filed before the Provincial Prosecutors Office against the arrested suspects, he added.

“Our police force is working relentlessly to attain a drug-free province,” Ibay said. (PNA)
