MANOLO Fortrich, Bukidnon — Groundworks for the construction of a new Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) building in the Municipality of Manolo Fortrich, Bukidnon has commenced after the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) recently held its groundbreaking ceremony.
The new PCOO facility will serve as a training facility for government media workers and information officers.
According to PCOO Assistant Secretary Ryan Vincent L. Uy, it is the “first of its kind” and is intended use is for teaching, training, and developing Information Officers (IO), spokespersons, and communicators from all National Government Agencies and Local Government.
The project includes the construction of a circular two-storey PCOO main building, a 16-unit dormitory, an outdoor amphitheater with parking lots and landscaping. The building will be constructed within the vicinity of the Northern Bukidnon State College in Barangay Tankulan under the strict supervision of DPWH Bukidnon 3rd District Engineering Office (DEO).
