BENGUET — Heavy rains dumped overnight Monday by typhoon Maring rampaged through three major roads that connect the province of Benguet to Baguio and its neighboring provinces, causing landslides, flashfloods, and massive soil erosion.
As such, the Jose Mencio Road in Atok, Benguet, the Tawang Road in La Trinidad and the Baguio-Bontoc Road were temporarily closed until further notice.
Clearing operations are now slowly being conducted by the provincial government and the Department of Public Works and Highways. (ai/mtvn)
