PhilPost unveils commemorative stamp featuring ‘living legend Big J,’ never-say-die Ginebra Team

The Philippine Postal Corporation launched a commemorative stamp featuring the “living legend” of Philippine basketball and former senator Robert Jaworski to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the country’s first-issued stamp back in 1946 at the Manila Central Post Office in Manila on Saturday. Son Dudot Jaworski represented his father Robert Jaworski, a.k.a., “The Big J” who holds the record as the oldest PBA player ever. He played his last game in the PBA at age 51 in May 1997. Jaworski turned pro in 1975, the PBA’s inaugural year, and played in three decades.
