UAAP athletes complete vaccination drive, 84th season of PH’s premier collegiate league possible next year

Senator Win Gatchalian together with Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Commissioner Prospero De Vera III and National Action Plan on COVID-19 Chief Implementer Secretary Carlito Galvez, Jr., witness the vaccination of student-athletes of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) at the Commission on Higher Education main office in CP Garcia, Quezon City, October 20, 2021.

The vaccination of UAAP athletes is part of the “PADYAK! Para sa Flexible Learning: Sama-samang Vaccination” program of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) that aims to vaccinate college students.

Sidelined for almost two years of dormancy owing to the pandemic, the country’s premier collegiate sports organization hopes to return to action for Season 84 in the first quarter of 2022.

And that appears doable now for the league as its select student-athletes have completed their vaccination drives this Wednesday (20 Oct 2021).
