BAGUIO City — A prayer vigil was held Tuesday night by various groups of farmers, traders, disposers, truckers, and other stakeholders of the vegetable industry here in Benguet pinning for a peaceful resolution of the ongoing leadership crisis at the Benguet Electric Company (BENECO).

And as of this morning, Wednesday, employees, and member-consumer-owners (MCOs) wrested back BENECO from the National Electrification Administration (NEA) officials and appointees after staging a pre-dawn takeover with the help of armed police forces.

NEA-appointed officials left the premises at around 9 in the morning Wednesday after the takeover. (ai/mtvn)
