BAGUIO City – For those who want to experience the magic of Christmas, don’t look any further as you can now experience it first hand at Baguio City’s Christmas Village, where you can catch the frosty air, and physically feel the snow.

The Christmas Village is now open at the Baguio Country Club. Just hail a cab or ride the regular jeepneys that pass by the front of the place itself and presto, you can enjoy Christmas to the fullest.

But before planning to visit the village, there are certain simple rules to follow such as making sure not to wear slippers.

It is the policy of the village to deny entry to anyone wearing slippers.

This year’s Christmas Village is decorated depicting an old-English village square with bright Christmas lights including GoT-inspired (Game of Thrones) props surrounding the area with dragons and many more.

The success of the Avengers movies was not forgotten as sections of the village were devoted and designed as The Avengers headquarters.
Christmas Village’s crew are also dressed up in various costumes including GoT and some Avengers characters for kids to interact and enjoy.

People who like live music can also enjoy it as live bands also provide entertainment.

And the highlight, of course, of the Christmas Village is – yes, the snow! The snow blows off once every 15 to 30 minutes. Well, these are just soap suds, but convincingly real in photos.

The place is open from weekdays from 2 PM to 10 PM and on weekends (including Holidays) from 10 AM to 11 PM.

There is, however, an entrance fee of P120 per head. (ai/mtvn)
