LTO warns public to avoid individuals offering assistance online

By Glen S. Ramos
MANILA – The Land Transportation Office (LTO) today warned the public anew to avoid dealing with individuals offering easy processing of drivers’ licenses and even vehicle registration online.

The agency added that every branch or satellite office of LTO is ready to give assistance to any clients seeking to renew, apply or register their vehicles.

Individuals are advised to proceed to their nearest LTO offices and transact their business only with the agency to avoid being shortchanged and swindled.

One can also visit LTO’s official website, http://www.lto.gov.ph, or inquire through their official Facebook page to know the proper and legal process and the right fees to be paid.

Likewise, clients are urged to report immediately any fixers including LTO employees offering assistance with pay to LTO authorities. (ai/mtvn)
