MANILA—Now that broadcaster Noli de Castro has officially withdrawn from his senate run, he has decided to return to his program TeleRadyo, formerly DZMM, the AM radio of ABS-CBN.
Noli left his program Kabayan on October 7 because he planned to run for senator in the coming 2022 elections.
Apart from Kabayan, he needed to leave his anchor duties from prime-time news program TV Patrol.
But after few days, Noli withdrew his candidacy due to personal reasons.
In his statement on October 13, Noli said, “Nais kong iparating sa lahat ng aking mga kaibigan at supporters na naghahanda na sanang tumulong sa akin, na nagpasiya akong hindi na ituloy ang aking kandidatura.
“Gayunpaman, HINDI PO NAGBAGO ANG AKING LAYUNIN AT HANGAD PARA SA BAYAN.
There was a news that came out that Noli will not go back to ABS-CBN anymore.
There is a possibility that he will replace Raffy Tulfo on TV5’s Frontline Pilipinas as a main anchor since Raffy is running for senator in the next election.
On his Instagram dated Thursday, November 4, Noli shared a short video where he is shown standing on a seashore.
In the caption, Noli said that he is coming back to his program TeleRadyo on Monday, November 8.
