BAGUIO City – Baguio City Tourism Office on Wednesday disclosed a total of 6,568 individuals visited the summer capital from October 29, 2021, to November 1, 2021, with a maximum of 1,900 visitors a day.
According to City Tourism and Events Supervising Officer Alec Mapalo, the visitors have almost reached their limit of 2000 per day.
“We were also strict with non-complying tourists. Those who don’t have full vaccination or have wrong or fake or no QTPs were sent back to the border and were not allowed to enter the city,” Mapalo said.
Baguio City has opened its doors for leisure travel last October 22, 2021, with strict restrictions being imposed to avert the spread of the virus. (ai/mtvn)
