MMDA K9 volunteers now ready for search, rescue missions

Together with their dogs, volunteers await the start of the launch of the K-9 Search and Rescue Recognition and Call for Volunteers Program at the University of the Philippines Vanguard Grounds in UP Diliman in Quezon City.

The UP Vanguard trained the dogs for 12 weeks. The training includes basic obedience, and agility training, as well as tracking. The dogs will now become MMDA volunteers and will be utilized in disaster areas for search and rescue.
