MANILA – The Global Fire Power (GFP) has ranked the Naval Forces of the Philippines as 26th out of 140 countries with a total of 103 assets in military strength during the 2021 military strength ranking concluded last month.

Among the latest and largest working ships of PH’s Philippine Navy are as follows:

BRP Jose Rizal (FF-150)

BRP Antonio Luna (FF-151)

BRP Conrado Yap(PS-39)

BRP Tarlac(LD-601)

BRP Gregorio Del Pilar(PS-15)

BRP Ramon Alcaraz(PS-16)

The United States topped the index with 904 attack helicopters and eleven aircraft carriers including sixty-eight submarines and 40,000 armored fighting vehicles.

The US was followed by Russia with 189 fighter aircraft and 538 attack helicopters.

Since 2006 Global Firepower (GFP) has provided a unique analytical display of data concerning 140 modern military powers. The GFP ranking is based on each nation’s potential war-making capability across the land, sea, and air fought by conventional means.

The results incorporate values related to manpower, equipment, natural resources, finances, and geography represented by 50+ individual factors used in formulating the finalized GFP ranks – which provide an interesting glimpse into an increasingly volatile global landscape where war seems all but an inevitability.
