MANILA — The Philippine National Police (PNP) will continue to perform its task to monitor the movement of people in public areas in Metro Manila and in other areas that are also under Alert Level 2.

“We understand that there might be changes along the way just like the lifting of face shield requirement in some Local Government Units. We are closely coordinating with the IATF and the DILG to get guidance on the enforcement of these local Executive Orders,” PNP Chief, Police General Dionardo B Carlos said.

“The guidelines are in place since the first day of the implementation of Alert Level 2. We will follow the same protocols until the end of the month unless there are changes in the quarantine rules as approved by the National IATF,” the PNP Chief explained.

According to PNP Spokesperson, Police Colonel Roderick Augustus B Alba, the PNP will strictly enforce the quarantine protocols in Catanduanes which will be placed under Alert Level 4 from November 17 until the end of the month.

“We also ask the public to still adhere to the minimum health standards, especially in public places. Your cooperation will greatly contribute to this battle against this unseen lethal enemy, “ Alba said. (ai/mtvn)
