Pangasinan farmers, fishermen get P14.4-M agri and fishery inputs from provincial government

PANGASINAN — The provincial government of Pangasinan led by Governor Amado I. Espino III distributed around P14.5 million agricultural and fishery inputs to local farmers and fisherfolks last Tuesday (November 9, 2021) at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center (NRSCC) here.

Worth P14.4 million, the project is a part of the rehabilitation assistance of the Abig Pangasinan Program.

Among the inputs that were distributed were 5,000 bags of 20-kg certified palay seeds, 750 bags of various kinds of hybrid yellow corn, 60 knapsack sprayers, 140 gill nets, 20 fish shelters, 30 fish pots, 1,400 sets of hook and line, 3 axial flow pumps, and vegetable seedlings.

Priority beneficiaries for the distribution were Pangasinense farmers and fisherfolks affected by different calamities that hit the province. (ai/mtvn)
