SAGADA PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT TURNS OVER NEWLY-CONSTRUCTED OPEN GYM TO SNHS

SAGADA, Mt. Province – The provincial government of Sagada, Mountain Province recently turned over a newly-constructed open gymnasium to Sagada National High School (SNHS) during a simple ceremony held on November 19, 2021, at the school grounds.

The formal ceremony was spearheaded by Gov. Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr., together with Vice Gov. Francis O. Tauli, Cong. Maximo Y. Dalog, Jr. and Board Member Salvador K. Dalang, while the blessing was officiated by Reverend Patrick Mathew Pooten.

Also in attendance were Sagada Mayor James B. Pooten, Jr., DepEd OIC District Supervisor Sixto Daluyen and Education Program Supervisor I Rosendo Cacap.
SNHS Principal Ignacio Pelila and SCS Principal Penny Wadingan expressed their gratitude to the provincial officials for the completion of the project.

Principal Pelila said that the new school facility will be used for physical education, playground for children, and will be a venue for sports events and other school and community events.

“We are very lucky and happy for this new school facility that will not only benefit the students but the community as a whole. During school or community events, the guests and participants will now be protected from the heat of the sun and from bad weather conditions,” Pelila said. (ai/mtvn)
