Fajardo promises to make broken footbridge serviceable again to students, community

These were the exact words of the Rizal District 2 congressional aspirant in Cong. Omar A. Fajardo (featured image above) after he made an ocular inspection of the broken footbridge recently together with local leaders Nemesio Santos and Omar Escalante (not in photo).

What remained of the once serviceable structure of a hanging bridge was its main mooring on the other end.

The footbridge (photo below) served as the main walkway for students coming to and from Magata Elementary School before typhoon Ulysses tore it down in November 2020.

It is located in Sitio Mangahan in Barangay Laiban, Tanay Rizal.

“Once I get elected, I promise, the bridge will be in service again to our students in town,” Fajardo said. (ai/mtvn)
