“The registration center will be closed on Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Holy Week, Labor Day, Eid al-Fitr, Eid Al-Adha, and All Saints Day,” the FRC-SarGen post on Nov. 19 read. “For more information and inquiries please contact PhilSys numbers 09661726772 (Globe) and 09692055146 (Smart). “
Those who finished the Step 1 demographic sign-up, either online or house-to-house, will be prioritized for registration.

The FRC-SarGen team assured of strict observance of safety standards, specifically the wearing of masks and physical distancing.
Step 2 registrants are also advised not to wear makeup and accessories nor use contact lenses.
Registrants of the Philippine Identification (PhilID) card or national ID won’t be entertained if they are wearing sleeveless tops or sando.
Aside from bringing own ballpen, registrants must have alcohol for hand sanitation and valid ID or other documents.
Signed into law by President Rodrigo R. Duterte in August 2018, Republic Act 11055, or the Philippine Identification System Act, aims to establish a single national ID for all Filipinos and resident aliens.
The national ID shall be a valid proof of identity that shall be a means of simplifying public and private transactions, enrollment in schools, and the opening of bank accounts.
It also seeks to boost efficiency, especially in dealing with government services where people will only need to present one ID during transactions. (PNA)
