BATARAZA, Palawan – The Mindanao State University has chosen to establish one of its campuses in the town of Bataraza in Palawan.
The groundbreaking ceremony was held today in Barangay Inogbong in Bataraza led by Palawan Governor Jose Chaves Alvarez, Mayor Abraham Ibba and MSU System President Dr. Habib Macaayong.
The Bataraza campus will be a 3-storey building with 18 classrooms and a 2-storey administration building.
“We conducted an evaluation and we are convinced. We have 11 branches in Mindanao plus one will be in Palawan, 12 na lahat,” Macaayong said.
MSU-Bataraza will be the 12th campus of the university.
“Itong MSU ay first time lumabas ng Mindanao at dito pa sa Bataraza. Ipagpapatuloy namin kung ano ang ating nasimulan. In four years time ay magiging independent ito,” Bataraza Mayor Ibba stated. (ai/mtvn)
