TUGUEGARAO City — Cagayan Valley Medical Center (CVMC) Covid Ward is now in full capacity Medical Center Chief Dr. Glenn Matthew Baggao said Saturday.
“As of today, there are 213 patients admitted and 174 are confirmed cases while 39 individuals are suspected cases,” he disclosed.
Most of the confirmed cases are from Tuguegarao City with 129; 1 case from each of the towns of Aparri, Sanchez Mira and Gonzaga; 2 each from Camalanuigan, Enrile and Alcala; 3 cases from Gattaran; 4 each from Baggao and Sto. Niño; 5 from Iguig and 7 each from Peñablanca and Solana.
The province of Isabela has 7 cases admitted; Kalinga with 6 and 1 each from the provinces of Quirino and Apayao.
There are 33 suspected cases from the province of Cagayan and 6 from Isabela.
“Sa ngayon ay ibinalik sa 200-bed capacity ang CVMC at lagpas na ngayon sa 100% ang capacity nito. Importante na unahin na i-refer sa CVMC ang mga pasyenteng severe at critical patients at sa district hospitals na lamang ang mga mild at moderate na pasyente,” Baggao stated.
“Ang mga district hospitals natin ay kaya namang i-manage ang mga hindi kritikal na pasyente at para na rin mas matutukan ang mga malalang pasyente sa CVMC upang maiwasan ang pagkasawi,” he added.
At present, there is 59 staff of CVMC who are positive for the Covid virus.
Baggao reminded residents to continue to follow health protocols and Minimum Public Health Standards and get vaccinated in order to be protected against the virus. (ai/mtvn)
