DOTr checks progress on PH’s 1st underground railway system

Progress of the construction at the country’s first underground railway system was appraised by a panel of inspectors from the Department of Transportation in Valenzuela on Tuesday, March 08, 2022.

The inspectors were satisfied with the ongoing work of the Metro Manila subway project, which is funded by official development assistance (ODA) from Japan. It will stretch across 36 kilometers, connecting the Valenzuela Depot to the NAIA Terminal 3 in Pasay City and FTI.

The project aims to reduce travel time from the Valenzuela Depot to NAIA-3 to just 45 minutes from the original one hour and 30 minutes time travel.
