MANILA — Focusing on the empowerment of the country’s elderly, Partido Reporma senatorial bet Gen. Guillermo Eleazar is urging the government to enhance its support system for senior citizens in order to help them live the final days of their life fruitfully and with proper care.
Gunning for a senatorial seat in the forthcoming May 9 polls, the former Philippine National Police (PNP) chief has vowed to empower senior citizens by ensuring job opportunities for those who are still fit to work while providing for them much needed support for their health and basic needs.
In continuing his campaign sorties across the archipelago, Eleazar visited Tanza in Cavite, where he met with several senior citizens after being warmly welcomed by town residents on his arrival in the municipality. (ai/mtvn)
