Usec Badoy blasts Robredo for duplicity on NPA alliance

MANILA — The National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) on Monday slammed Leni Robredo for denying her tie-up with the terrorist group Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army (CPP-NPA), telling her to stop the charade and insulting the Filipino people.

“VP Leni Robredo’s camp should stop insulting the intelligence of the Filipino people by pretending they have not made a pact with the devil, the communist terrorist CPP-NPA-NDF,” NTF-ELCAC spokesperson Undersecretary Lorraine Marie Badoy said in a statement.

She said Robredo’s decision to compromise the country’s future with the terrorists, smacks of hypocrisy and that no less than Joma Sison’s tweet of his official endorsement of her is proof positive that this marriage made in the bowels of hell has been consummated.”

Badoy also emphasized that the Makabayan bloc, which NTF-ELCAC dubbed as “NPA urban operatives” has endorsed Robredo despite the fact that Ka Leody de Guzman is also running for president.

“This endorsement comes straight from the Central Committee of the CPP-the authors of grief and suffering of the Filipino people—because the Kamatayan Bloc/KABAG are mere atsoys and atsays of the CPP who do the bidding of their terrorist bosses,” she said.

Robredo dismissed Badoy’s narrative but no less than President Rodrigo Duterte had categorically accused her group of dealing with the Communist groups.

Prior to Duterte’s revelation, Sen. Panfilo Lacson, Cavite Rep. Boying Remulla, and even former ambassador and former CPP Manila-Rizal chief Roberto Tiglao have confirmed the presence of members of the CPP legal front in the Robredo’s rallies, particularly the one held in Gen. Trias, Cavite, and her alarming effort in agreeing to a coalition government with the Reds.

Robredo denied all the accusations and labeled her accusers of “red-tagging.”

However, Badoy lambasted Robredo, saying “her repeated use of the term red-tagging is the CPP-NPA-NDF’s ploy to silence the people who speak the truth.”

She challenged Robredo to openly denounce the NPA if she has not been really involved in forming a coalition government with them.

“We, therefore, await the vice president’s public condemnation of the CPP-NPA-NDF and her open invitation for the KABAG to do the same. Otherwise, we will rightfully conclude that she is not worthy of our trust and that she values the few votes the CPP-NPA-NDF claim they can give her far more than our lives and the lives of our children and the destiny of our country,” Badoy stressed.
