Davao City — Department of Transportation Secretary Arthur M. Tugade yesterday conducted an on-site inspection of the Davao International Airport (DIA), which will undergo a major face lift with two (2) development projects on the pipeline.

DIA’s two (2) development projects include the improvement and expansion of its existing passenger terminal building (PTB), which will also feature a lounge exclusive for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and a contactless travel experience with its contactless check-in kiosks.

With an expanded and improved DIA passenger terminal building (PTB), domestic and international passengers will be greeted with a distinct and modern architectural design that will provide them with comfort and convenience.

Once the PTB’s expansion and improvement is completed, the airport’s passenger holding capacity will increase from 1,500 passengers to 2,200 passengers. (ai/mtvn)
