ILOCOS Norte — Department of Agrarian Reform Secretary Bernie Cruz leads the inauguration and turn-over ceremony of the improved Banana Processing Center on March 10, 2022, Thursday at Brgy. Alay in Badoc, Ilocos Norte.

The processing center, which has a total project cost of P448,610, will directly benefit members of the Sirmata Multi-Purpose Cooperative (MPC).

The development of the banana processing center of the Sirmata MPC was made possible through the Village-Level Farm Focused Enterprise Development (VLFED) Project of the DAR that aims to establish a sustainable income-generating project in the area and to provide additional income to Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) and family members in the Agrarian Reform Communities (ARCs) in the locality.
