TUGUEGARAO City – The provincial government of Cagayan announced its plan to develop the island of Calayan as one of the tourist destinations in the province.
Infrastructure projects including provincial roads for the connectivity of its barangays and the construction of its airport in the tri-boundary of Piat, Amulung, and Tuao will eventually pave way for tourists to come and visit the island.
“This will become the “Boracay of the North”, Cagayan Governor Manuel N. Mamba stated.
