FACT CHECK: Rappler has now deleted a social media post on Kakampink’s rally on Emerald Avenue titled, “Supporters here come not only from Pasig but the rest of Metro Manila and even nearby Provinces.”
The online news site is a known ally of Pinklawans but believe it or not it went on to report and post (now deleted) the PasigLaban rally in the middle of Ortigas Center was, oh well, attended once again by a mammoth HAKOT-CROWD not only by local Pasig residents but also from NCR and immediate suburbs.
And so we ask: Is it really true that the Leni-Kiko camp had a HAKOT-CROWD from different cities and provinces?
RATING: TRUE without a doubt!
The recent Leni-Kiko PasigLaban rally on Emerald Avenue in Pasig City last Sunday, March 20, 2022, was unquestionably well attended. The Leni camp has clearly done an excellent job of collecting people and generating a crowd. But, where did these individuals originate from?
As Rappler had previously reported in a now-deleted social media post, captioned “Aerial shots of the KaKampink crowd here along Emerald Ave as of 2 pm. Supporters here come not only from Pasig, but the rest of Metro Manila and even nearby provinces. #PHVote #WeDecide / via Mara Cepeda/Rappler”
Aside from the Rappler report, there are some people who captured buses full of people wearing pink T-shirts who came from other cities and provinces, and others posted on different Facebook pages saying they are just forced by their companies, while others explain that they are just manipulated by their leaders.
A Tiktok video shows a video of people in pink in a jeepney that looked like they are going on a pink excursion.
Photos of buses with Leni’s posters were uploaded on Facebook on the day of the Pasig rally.
VLOG NG PASIG on their Facebook page also reported “Mga taga Rizal at Laguna dumayo na rin sa Pasig Proclamation Rally ni VP Leni Robredo sa Pasig!” See screenshot here:
The Pink supporters were not briefed with their Pasig excursion.
In this Tiktok video, a local in the vicinity of the rally is heard ranting about the damages to the landscape the Pink supporters left.
In this video posted on Facebook, a woman is heard saying that her party was forced to join a vehicle of Leni’s.
A dashcam caught a series of buses with Leni’s posters on them parked in the vicinity of the Kakampink rally in Pasig.
A motorist stopped on the road to report a series of vehicles with Leni’s tarpaulins on them. https://www.tiktok.com/@jeranabcede/video/7077088242381688091?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc&web_id=7077377039086929409
Another video taken from a car caught more footage of Leni’s buses transporting people to their rally in Pasig. The person is heard saying that the video is live and not edited.
“Ayan may hakot po. Hindi po ‘yan lahat sa Pasig” on another footage capturing the flock of buses.
“WE FACT CHECK THE FACT-CHECKERS WHEN THEY FUCK UP.”
