Goma sees BBM’s overwhelming win in Ormoc City

MANILA — Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez said Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) standard-bearer and presidential frontrunner Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos is the overwhelming favorite of his constituents in the coming May 9 elections.

In an interview with OnePH’s ‘All Politics is Local’ program, Gomez was asked who among the presidential candidates is favored in Ormoc.

Goma is running for the congressional seat for the 4th District of Leyte in place of his wife, Lucy Torres-Gomez, who is now running for mayor.

Goma and Lucy have already previously expressed their support for the candidacy of BBM.

“I like BBM …

He also appealed to the public to respect each other’s choice of candidates rather than engage in mudslinging and bullying.

In my case, I like BBM, kinakampanya ko siya talaga rito dito sa 4th district at sa buong Leyte,” Goma said.

Goma said he no longer pays attention to others who criticize him for supporting Marcos.

Critics are now using his old movie where he portrayed the life of Sergio Osmeña who is one of the alleged victims of Martial Law.

Ginawa ko iyon as an artist pero ngayon ginagawa ko ito bilang isang public servant,” he said.
