OLONGAPO CITY — Despite the challenges brought about by the pandemic and the Ukraine-Russia crisis, the Bureau of Customs – Port of Subic under the leadership of Collector Maritess “Meeks” T. Martin has successfully finished the PGS Proficiency Stage-Revalida with another Gold Award.

This feat was achieved by Subic Customs under Martin after amassing a total score of 97.90 on Monday, March 21.

“My heartfelt gratitude to my whole Revalida Team headed by our Senior OSM, Atty. Aileen Amada-Tortoles for all their efforts and support in assisting me in the entire process,” Martin said.

“This only proves that the Bureau of Customs is not hopeless, but rather committed in this transformation. May we continue this pace and take advantage of this momentum to carry out our mandate as we strive to be a better agency and to provide excellent service to the general public,” she added.

It may be recalled that during the Initiation, Compliance, and now Proficiency Stage-Revalida, Collector Martin bagged all Gold Awards.

The PGS is a significant tool of good governance reform promoting the efficient delivery of services and the establishment of a positive climate for market institutions.

It also calls for effective, sustained, and systematic contributions from individuals and institutions for the common good of their institution or community and of the Philippines as well as the long-term development of the Filipino. (ai/mtvn)
