MANILA — PROMDI presidential candidate Sen. Manny Pacquiao has joined the call of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to all candidates to police their supporters to avoid poll violations.

Prior to this, Comelec commissioner George Erwin Garcia had advised candidates to follow campaign guidelines, particularly those that concern rallies and other crowd-gathering events in order to avoid sanctions from the poll body.

Pacquiao reiterated the advice of Comelec to voters to delve into the actions of their bets, warning them that their infringement of Comelec guidelines could have consequences such as voting for violators of the law.

Pacquiao also reminded voters that their votes in this year’s polls is very crucial to the country’s well-being as it would set the direction for policy decisions to be made by the new administration.
